Princess Kate in public again, comes to Trooping the Colour

British Princess Kate is today present at Trooping the Colour, an annual military parade in London on the occasion of the British monarch’s birthday. It will be the first public appearance by Prince William’s wife since her hospitalization in January.

The princess says that she is making good progress, but has not yet fully recovered. She announced in a video message in March that she had cancer and was receiving chemotherapy. “Anyone who has had chemotherapy knows that you have good days and bad days.”

She expects the treatment to continue for a few more months.

In January she spent thirteen days in a hospital where she underwent abdominal surgery. “The surgery was successful, but tests after the surgery showed that cancer was present,” she said in the video.

In the social media post, Kate says she is overwhelmed by all the support and encouragement she has received. “Thank you so much for your understanding and to each of you who so bravely shared your story with me.”
