North Korean leader in tests with rockets of ‘superior combat capacity’

Noord-Korea said he has fired two new air defense rockets. It was a rocket test under the supervision of the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

The state news agency of the dictatorial country writes that the weapons have a “superior combat capacity” and contain “unique technology”. The rockets would “be very suitable for destroying different air targets”.

The test took place on Saturday, after South Korea had confirmed that it had fired warning shots on Tuesday, because North Korean soldiers crossed the demilitarized zone that separates the two countries.

Noord-Korea mentioned the shipping of the warning shots a “ Serious provocation “. The soldiers would have been busy building a barrier that, according to the North Koreans, “permanently must close the southern border”. It was not shot from North Korea.

Military exercise vs and South Korea

The North Korean rocket test comes at a time when South Korea and the United States have just started a large-scale joint military exercise in the region. And on Monday the new South Korean President Lee Jae-Myung and US President Trump have a meeting in Washington, writes the British public broadcaster bbc >>>>>>>>>

Kim Jong-un condemned the military exercises of the US and South Korea last month. He called them “very hostile and confronting”.

Russia

Noord-Korea regularly performs rake tests. Several ballistic rockets were fired in May. Zuid-Korea suspected that it was then a performance test for the Export of Raketten to Russia.

North Korea and Russia work together in the military field. Kim Jong-un previously sent thousands of soldiers to Russia to fight in Ukraine. High South Korean officials already expressed their concerns, because North Korea would get Russian rocket technology in exchange for sending troops to Russia.

Whether Russian technology was used for yesterday’s rakette test is unknown.
