Dutch Delta Leager crashed in French Alps

A Dutch DeltaLiegerer was killed in an accident in the French Alps. The man in the sixties participated in a competition and got into trouble during his flight due to a sudden gust of wind.

According to the first findings of the French authorities, part of the wing of the triangular glider was damaged and the man fell down. His body was found by the emergency services in a field in Val-Buëch-Méouge.

The competition was held from the Chabre Mountain, in the French department of Hautes-Alpes. The mountain range is a popular place for DeltaVliegen and paragliding.
