Dutchman caught in Germany with thousands of erection pills

A Dutch man has been caught in Germany smuggling thousands of erection pills. He had 4,300 in his car, according to customs in Aachen.

The 33-year-old man had just crossed the border at Heinsberg, near Sittard, when he was pulled over for a check. Customs officers found two bags full of pills and erection gels in the car. They were packed in about a hundred envelopes, all stamped and addressed to people in Germany.

According to German customs, the man stated that he had accepted the bags with erection aids from someone he did not know. In a hotel he should have passed on the contraband to a third party.

A criminal investigation has been started against the man for violating the law on medicines. The German authorities are further investigating the origin of the pills and the orders that were placed.
