Eight people arrested in Iran for espionage for Israel
The Revolutionary Guard, the Elite Corps of Iran, has arrested eight people because they would have passed on information to the Israeli secret service Mossad, Iranian media report. The detainees are said to have passed on coordinates of sensitive locations and details about Iranian high military figures to the Mossad.
They would have done that during the Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear installations last June. In addition, several high military commanders and citizens were killed. In response, Iran carried out rocket attacks on Israel.
In a statement, the revolutionary guard says that the suspects were trained online by the Mossad to carry out attacks, among other things. Among other things, bombs, explosives and booby traps would have been seized by the guard.

The eight people were arrested in the northeast of Iran, even before they could implement further plans according to the guard.
