Father of brothers who died in Turkey out of danger

The two brothers of 15 and 17 were found dead in their hotel room last week. They were on vacation with their father. The cause of death has not yet been established. The local authorities are investigating this.

Hotel staff heard sounds coming from the family room in the morning, after which they went inside and the two boys found dead on the ground, write Turkish media. The father would have told ambulance personnel that they had fallen ill after they had eaten the night before on Taksimplein.

The family would come from a village in Noord-Holland. The Dutch consulate in Istanbul provides assistance to the family and maintains contact with the local authorities.
